Privacy policy

This policy describes processing related to the public MautySystems website: browsing, preferences stored locally, visibility in Google Search, contact requests and voluntary newsletter registration.

Last updated · September 15, 2026

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the public MautySystems website. It does not yet describe processing that may be associated with a future account, connected product or Mauty service; separate information will be provided before any such feature becomes available.

Browsing without behavioural tracking

The website does not create user accounts. Newsletter registrations are stored in a database as described below. No audience-measurement script such as Google Analytics, advertising tool or profiling tool is currently integrated into the website.

As with any website, the hosting infrastructure processes technical data required to deliver and secure pages, including the IP address, date and time, requested address and browser information. MautySystems does not use this data to track you across other websites or build an advertising profile.

MautySystems does not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and local preferences

Mauty integrates no advertising or audience analytics tools on this website. Storage mechanisms support display preferences and form protection. Consent to receive the newsletter is requested separately.

Website preferences use your browser’s local storage to remember your language, display theme and choice between the Personal and Business experiences. Dismissal of the cookie notice is also stored locally, together with the notice version, so that it is not shown on every visit. These values contain no visitor identifier and are not used to track you.

Your selected language or experience may nevertheless appear in the requested page address and, like any visited address, in the hosting provider’s technical logs.

When you submit a protected form, the website loads reCAPTCHA Enterprise and Firebase App Check. Google states that reCAPTCHA sets the _GRECAPTCHA security cookie for risk analysis. App Check also temporarily stores a token in the browser and may refresh it while the page remains open. Simply browsing the website does not trigger this loading.

The notice and its ‘Got it’ button provide information only; dismissing it is neither consent to optional trackers nor a newsletter subscription. You can block cookies or delete website data in your browser. This may prevent security verification and subscription; you can still contact us by email.

You can remove them by clearing the website data in your browser settings.

Google Search Console

MautySystems uses Google Search Console to monitor website indexing, identify certain technical issues and understand its visibility in Google Search results.

Search Console may show performance data such as queries, displayed pages, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, average position, country and device category. This data comes from Google Search, not from a tracking script integrated into the MautySystems website.

Search Console does not provide MautySystems with the identity of the people who performed a search. Google aggregates data and may omit certain low-volume queries to protect privacy.

When you choose to contact us

When you submit a contact or partnership form, your browser sends your name, company name when requested, email address, request type, message, language and form context to a Google Cloud function protected by Firebase App Check and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise.

The function validates the request, fixes MautySystems’ contact address as the recipient and sends the message through WHC’s email service. Email credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager and are not exposed in the website.

We use this information only to understand your request, reply and provide the requested follow-up. Requests and exchanges are deleted when no longer needed, subject to applicable legal obligations.

The form separately offers an optional newsletter subscription. If you voluntarily select this option, your email address and the consent information described below are also sent to the newsletter registration service.

Newsletter registration

Registration is optional. By selecting the consent box in the newsletter form or the optional newsletter choice in a contact form, then submitting that form, you request news about Mauty and its development. You can browse the website and contact us without subscribing.

When you submit the form, your browser sends your email address, form language, agreement and registration source to a Google Cloud function protected by Firebase App Check. The function checks whether the address is already subscribed and otherwise saves the registration in Google Cloud Firestore with the date and time, consent version and status. If the address is already subscribed, the website tells you without creating another registration. This information is used to manage the communications you requested and retain a record of your consent.

Information you enter is not saved in Firestore before you submit the form. A contact or partnership request does not subscribe you on its own: a separate newsletter registration is sent only when you voluntarily select the option provided for that purpose. The form does not verify ownership of the address and currently sends no confirmation email.

Submissions use Firebase App Check and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to reduce abuse. These services process technical information about the browser and connection to assess the request.

To withdraw consent or request deletion of your registration, email contact@mautysystems.com.

Retention and withdrawal of consent

Registration information is retained for newsletter purposes while your consent remains valid and that purpose justifies retention. Once that purpose ends, information no longer needed must be deleted, subject to applicable legal obligations.

You can request removal of your address at contact@mautysystems.com. Our team handles withdrawals; no account is required. Clearing your browser data does not delete your registration.

A limited record of consent or its withdrawal may be retained when necessary to document our obligations and prevent unintended re-registration. It is not used to continue sending messages after withdrawal.

Infrastructure, fonts and service providers

The website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore stores newsletter registrations. Google Cloud Functions and WHC’s email service process contact requests for delivery to MautySystems without storing them in Firestore. These providers may process technical data required for their services under their own policies.

The Inter font is currently loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser then communicates with Google servers, which receive the technical data required for that request, including the IP address and browser information. Google states that Google Fonts data is not used to create user profiles or target advertising.

Depending on the services and their subprocessors, some information may be processed or accessible outside Quebec, including for service operations, support and security. Selecting a storage region does not mean that all technical processing is limited to that region.

MautySystems does not use this technical data to build advertising profiles or track your browsing across other websites.

Security

We apply reasonable and proportionate safeguards to information voluntarily sent to us. No electronic communication method can be guaranteed to be entirely risk-free.

Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not necessary for your request by email.

Your rights and choices

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you, access it, correct it or delete it. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, subject to applicable legal obligations.

To exercise a right or submit a privacy complaint, write to contact@mautysystems.com.

Privacy officer

The MautySystems privacy officer can be reached at contact@mautysystems.com. We will handle privacy questions and complaints diligently and confidentially.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated if website features or our practices change, including before adding an account, connected service, on-site measurement tool such as Google Analytics or a new purpose for collecting information. A consent mechanism will be added before any optional tracker that requires one. The date shown at the top identifies the current version.
